Fruits are mostly preferred by many of us as they taste sweet and we enjoy eating it. A downside is that they are made in a lot of different colors and flavors, which we all know- makes them ever the more appealing snack during break time or meals. Fruits naturally have a form of sugar called fructose. In the form of fruit, we prove fructose and glucose. Before I tell you about how it works and why, first let me explain to you why sugar(or glucose) is so important for us; Productivity: The brain will consume most of the glucose we ingest (it consumes approximately 20–30% although it represents less than 2 percent of our body mass), using two-thirds alone only when working in a resting state. But all fruits are not equally laden with fructose. This can be bad when eating large quantities of specific types of fruit like high fructose containing fruits.
More fructose means the high fruits have a lot of another sugar called furct. The most common ones are fruits or moreso things like apples, bananas and grapes etc due to being higher in fructose. For Reference: Strawberries ~4% fructose Watermelons and Peaches Almost 8% fructose Why is it important that we know this, because flooding our system with high fructose fruit could easily overwhelm your body to the point where incoming sugar rightfully determines which way all that cascading glucose streams in from GI tract. More than two more seconds and it does not get used for our energy are good cause to be kept fat (lent) in out bodies, that we gain weight other otherwise called : obesity.
When we carry excess fat on our bodies, we are considered overweight. It leads to a medley of health and wellness problems that can alter how we look, feel or our bodies work. Such problems encompass heart disease, diabetes and high blood pressure. However, having too much fruit with high fructose content is linked to an increased risk of obesity. And the rest of it (the part we cover with a paddle)? get stored as fat simplycause or body cannot deal with the excessive amounts of sugar. This leads to the weight being placed over time, and that is not ideal for your health.
Diabetes: You do not use sugar as you should in your body. Diabetes Develops when people have Troubles using their glucose properly (high blood sugar) due to faulty insulin action. And the same goes for eating excessive amounts of fruits high in fructose since those will also lead to developing diabetes. It is not secret that too much sugar can make us insulin resistant and our bodies cannot cope with the extra work. Sugar, insulin and the human form Insulin is a hormone that helps bring sugar into our cells to be used for energy. Consuming a variety of high fructose fruits increases insulin resistance over time which can lead to diabetes.
Fruits are an indispensable part of our diet and we ought to have at least a few. Fruit is good, but nothing too much high in fructose. If you live a healthy life, eat all of the fruits but diversify as much as possible and reduce it to three aggravations only for those who have no other choice! Thus, instead of giving in to all the high fructose fruits (i.e. apples, bananas and grapes) then limit yourself on these while savoring low sugar counterpart such as strawberries or peaches.
We can also help our bodies cope with the sugar in fruit by pairing it up with some protein and fiber from a whole-food source. If you are going to eat fruits, balance them out with nuts, yogurt or whole grain cereals so the sugar can hit our bodies slower and we have a stable level of energy as well.
